Volta Ventures is a seed & early stage venture capital fund for internet & software companies in the Benelux.
The fund aims to combat the myth that the only place where high tech innovation occurs is in Silicon Valley. There are plenty of very good local startups and incubators / accelerators in the Benelux. They are all looking for a fund to close the funding gap between small angel rounds of a few hundred thousand euro and VC rounds that typically start at a few million euro. This fund aims to close this gap and provide an above average return to its investors. The fund’s team, with active support from some 30 business angels, expects to make a substantial impact on every company it invests in by working with the founders and management to identify new markets and customers, hire senior talent, provide ongoing guidance, arrange further financing rounds and exploring strategic options.
