Personal bio: 

Guy De Pauw studied computational linguistics at the University of Antwerp, where he obtained his PhD in 2002. Throughout his career, he has investigated a diverse range of machine-learning approaches to language technology for Dutch, English and a variety of sub-Saharan African languages. He is currently working at the CLiPS research center as a senior researcher on the research projects ALADIN and AMiCA and is involved in setting up a spin-off company that aims to commercialize CLiPS technology. His main research interests are machine learning, social media mining, sentiment mining, text mining and language technology in general.
