Maria Eskevich is a postdoctoral researcher at the Centre for Language and Speech Technologies, Faculty of Arts of Radboud University in Nijmegen, The Netherlands. She received her Ph.D. in 2014 in the field of Computer Science from the Dublin City University, Ireland. Her research interests span from multimedia retrieval, evaluation of multimedia search, use of crowdsourcing technologies and social media, to text and data mining (TDM), and open access policies. Within the FutureTDM project, Maria is leading the work package that is dedicated to the analysis of TDM fields of application, collection of the best practices and resources. Together with the other project partners, she disseminates this information to broad audience of TDM practitioners both in academia and industry, citizens and policy makers, enabling better mutual understanding and successful cooperation.
