The EU’s AI Act is lauded as the first regulation of AI worldwide. Indeed, it is an important step towards trustworthiness and safety of AI, in keeping with social and ethical issues. But what are the repercussions on businesses that deal on a day to day basis with AI? Is it too much or too little regulation? What is the meaning of notions such as "diversity", "non-discrimination and fairness", "societal and environmental well-being" and "accountability" in the AI context? And how can the high-level goals be translated into concrete metrics in technological developments?
