Hiroki, a seasoned entrepreneur, is a founding member of Locondo, one of the largest e-commerce platform in Japan, and the founder of MerryBiz, a startup providing back-office outsourcing solutions to businesses. He is also the founder and was the Chairperson of the Fintech Association of Japan, advocated to change the Banking Act and other finance-related laws, and collaborating with over 400 financial institutions and 200 startups to bolster the Fintech ecosystem in Japan.
Hiroki currently serves as the VP of Global Strategy at Yaraku, focusing on the worldwide expansion of the successful domestic CAT (Computer-aided translation) tool business. He mentors at Entrepreneurship @ UBC, holds an Entrepreneurship in Residence position at Foresight Canada, and offers his expertise as an advisor/mentor/investor to several other startups. Before his entrepreneurial journey, Hiroki coordinated global alliances at GREE, consulted for CVA, managed projects at IBM Japan, and secured an MBA from INSEAD and an MEng from Tokyo Institute of Technology.
