A linguist at heart, Florian thrives on the velocity of business and how translation and technology accelerate it. Based in Zurich, he previously spent eight years in Asia working out of Singapore, Hong Kong, and Shanghai. He has translation degrees from the Zurich University of Applied Sciences and the University of Westminster, London. Before launching Slator, he spent nine years with language service provider CLS Communication in his last role as Head of Asia; and he was part of the group management during the trade sale to Lionbridge through the initial integration. When he is not working on making Slator the most relevant source of language industry news, he dabbles in Bitcoin and runs the hilly trails of Switzerland.
