Culture Information Systems Centre (CISC) is a Latvian government institution under the Ministry of Culture, established to support cultural heritage preservation and accessibility. It develops information systems for libraries, archives, museums, and other cultural entities, enhancing public access to cultural resources through modern IT solutions, including language technology and AI. The CISC's origins date back to 1997 with the creation of the Library Information Networks Consortium, evolving into a state agency in 2004. Since 2013, it operates as a direct administration institution, continuing to advance digitization and information management for cultural memory institutions.
